About the book
We cannot shout instructions from a safe distance.
Most of us have quietly accepted a version of faith that costs us nothing and rescues no one. We know the language. We show up. Meanwhile the people around us who are actually burning the addicted, the exhausted, the ashamed, the ones who wrote off church years ago stay exactly where they are.
This book is about closing that distance. It's honest about what rescue costs: your comfort, your schedule, your reputation, sometimes your sleep. It's just as honest about what happens to people who try it without staying rooted themselves. You can't rescue anybody if you're the one burning up.
It isn't a book about becoming a better version of yourself. It's a book about becoming close enough to be useful.
